VRC Contact High

Product Description

Tired of going to the club and searching for frogs to lick? Don't you wish you could carry the party with you? Well now you can! This prefab adds a fun, interactive system to your avatar, letting you trigger trippy visual effects that you can share with your friends, or hog to yourself!

Simple, intuitive, and easy to install with VRCFury! Plus, it only uses 2 mesh renderers and 3 material slots, so you can fit it on a Medium avatar (Or even Good if you remove the particle trails)

=======Terms of Use=======

-You can put the prefab on any avatar, even public or sold avatars, just don't remove the name or branding (A lil bit of rev share is nice, but not required)

-You're allowed to reuse the models/shaders/particles wherever and however you want, just no reselling!

-You're allowed to make and sell new shaders for people to plug into the prefab, and I highly encourage it! Revisions to shader swapping will be coming in a future update

-You're allowed to share the prefab files with your friends, but not with strangers! Don't upload the prefab on shady websites pls

=======Updates=======
Version 0.9.5
- Fixed the position constraint pointing to the wrong object! Oops! If you don't want to reinstall, just change the position constraint on the IK base to target the grabby bone end!
- Added a gestureless version of the prefab for those that don't like the fist gesture being required to enable it

Version 0.9.4:

- Disabled the physbone when the prefab is disabled to prevent it

from interfering with other physbone interactions

- Added the FinalIK stub to the package directly, to save on googling

Version 0.9.3:

- Added a smoke trail

- Fixed an animation error

- Updated the readme

Version 0.9:

- Added a physbone you can toggle on that allows players to grab the joint out of your hand

- Increased the size of the joint by 50%, was too small by default

Version 0.8:

- Added a second raycast to compensate for the LookAt component unexpectedly flipping orientation

Version 0.7:

- Added position animations to make avatar setup easier and allow you to put the prefab on your left/right hand or directly on your face :)

- Added a clearing functionality in case you ever go too far and want to step it back

=======Known issues=======

- The rotation constraint on the raycast has a tendency to flip backwards at certain angles, likely due to quaternion math acting unexpectedly. A second inverted raycast has been added to mitigate this issue

- The shader doesn't like mirrors very much

- There is currently no way to reduce the effects for remote players besides hiding/showing your avatar, advise people to do so if they need the effects to stop

- Excessively large or small avatars have a hard time getting the prefab to work, and it tends to break when you use extreme avatar scaling. The issue is likely related to the raycast. Not sure what a fix would look like for this. Some way of preventing the raycast from scaling up/down with the avatar, most likely.
