"BroomPack" is a broom-style gimmick designed for VRChat. It is compatible with Modular Avatar for a quick and easy setup.

You can choose from 4 different broom designs. The broom features various grip options, including Right-hand, Left-hand, Standard grip, and Reverse grip. Furthermore, by touching the tip of the broom to a floor or wall, you can trigger a "Cleaning Effect" (this can be toggled off).

These features are controlled via the VRChat Expression Menu, where you can adjust various operations and settings. An "Object Only" version is also included, which can be used as assets for world creation and other projects.

Enjoy your cleaning life in the virtual world, anytime, anywhere!

★ Installation Steps

【Project Preparation】

  1. Install VRChat Creator Companion (VCC). Click "Create New Project" and select "Avatar." (Skip if you already have a project).
  2. In VCC, click "Manage Project." Search for and install "VRChat SDK" and "lilToon."
  3. Launch the project.

【Importing Data】

  1. Import your avatar data into the Unity project.
  2. Drag and drop the ".unitypackage" file downloaded from the shop.
  3. Leave all items checked in the import window and click "Import."
  4. Open the "AvatarSetup" folder, navigate to any avatar subfolder, and choose your preferred Prefab.

【Attaching via Modular Avatar (MA)】

  1. Place your avatar prefab into the Hierarchy.
  2. Drag and drop the MA-compatible prefab directly onto your avatar's root GameObject.

【Item Setup & Adjustment】 If you are using a non-supported avatar, you must manually align the handle positions.

  1. Note: If your avatar is not listed in "AvatarSetup," please use the "Nemo" or "Rinasciita" prefab as a template.
  2. Expand the "PBRP_BroomPack_" hierarchy and open all layers under "Hand_Position_".
  3. Identify the Targets: "ConstPos_R_Hand_" (Right Hand) and "ConstPos_L_Hand_" (Left Hand) are the objects used to align the broom to your hands. The item starts on the Left Hand by default, so adjust that side first.
  4. Switching Hands for Adjustment: To adjust the right hand, select the "MA_Item_" GameObject and find the "VRC Parent Constraint" component in the Inspector.
  5. Flip the Weights: Swap the Weight values for the Right and Left hands. Set the weight for "ConstPos_R_Hand_" to 1 and "ConstPos_L_Hand_" to 0. The broom will move to the right hand.
    • Important: Ensure the weights are set to exactly [1,0] or [0,1]. Do not set both to 1 at the same time.
  6. Align the "ConstPos_R_Hand_" object's Transform values until the broom sits naturally in the right hand.
  7. Test in Play Mode to ensure the broom appears correctly in both hands.

【How to Hide by Default upon Upload】 The item is designed to turn off automatically, but if you want to ensure it is hidden:

  1. Expand the hierarchy and locate the GameObject named "Transform."
  2. Disable it by unchecking the active checkbox in the top-left of the Inspector (do not use the eye icon in the Hierarchy).
  3. It will still function perfectly when triggered via the Expression Menu in-game.

【Uploading】

  1. Press the Play button in Unity. Use the Gizmo or Gesture Manager to verify the attachment and movement.
  2. If everything looks good, upload via the VRChat SDK toolbar. (If warnings appear, click the "Fix" button).
  3. Done! Enjoy your VRChat life!

★ Troubleshooting

  1. Check if Unity version matches 2022.3.22f1.
  2. If the material is pink, install lilToon.
  3. Ensure VRChat SDK and Modular Avatar are up to date.
  4. Do not rename or change the hierarchy within the Prefab, as this may break the gimmick.
  5. Check that your avatar's total parameter count does not exceed the limit.
