"PortableLamp" is a handheld lamp designed for VRChat. By default, it can be worn subtly as a strap accessory, then transformed into a glowing lamp whenever you need its light. Compatible with Modular Avatar, it can be easily integrated into your avatar.

Using the VRChat Expression Menu, you can adjust various settings, including: Resizing, Light Intensity, and Position Lock.

When you venture into the dark, let this lamp be your steady companion.

  3. Launch the project.

【Importing Data】

  1. Import your avatar data into the Unity project.
  2. Drag and drop the ".unitypackage" file downloaded from the shop.
  3. Ensure all items are checked in the import window and click "Import."
  4. The Modular Avatar (MA) compatible items are located in the "AvatarSetup" folder (Prefabs starting with "MA_").

【Attaching via Modular Avatar (MA)】

  1. Place your avatar prefab into the Hierarchy.
  2. Drag and drop the MA-compatible prefab directly onto your avatar's root GameObject.

【Attaching to Different Body Parts】

  1. Select the lamp prefab you placed under your avatar and locate the object named "MA_PlayerLockPos".
  2. Find the "MA Bone Proxy" component in the Inspector.
  3. In the "Target" field, select the specific bone where you want to attach the lamp.

【Adjusting Position and Size】

  1. After attaching it to a bone, locate the following object: WorldLockPos / ItemPos1 / PL_Transform
  2. Modify the Transform values (Position, Rotation, Scale) of the "PL_Transform" object.
  3. Ring Size Adjustment: To fit the ring size to your avatar's limb, select the "PortableLampA" object (located under "PL_Transform").
  4. In the Inspector, adjust the values under Skinned Mesh Renderer → BlendShapes.

  3. Done! Enjoy!

★ Troubleshooting

  1. Check if Unity version matches 2022.3.22f1.
  2. If the material is pink, install lilToon.
  3. Ensure VRChat SDK and Modular Avatar are up to date.
  4. Do not rename or change the hierarchy within the Prefab, as this may break the gimmick.
  5. Check that your avatar's total parameter count does not exceed the limit.
