Product Description
This asset is a final remastered version of my old leg fluffs previously sold on Gumroad, which is no longer supported due to this replacement. It has a significantly smaller amount of bones, it now comes with 2 different UV layouts as well as an easy drag and drop VRCFury installation. Although the asset is fitted specifically for the Rexouium by Rezillo Ryker, it is easily adaptable to other bases.
Here are some statistics:
- 4 objects total (2x mesh, 2x armature)
- 6.824 triangles total (both sides, so 3.412 each)
- only 8 bones total (4 each)
- Unity Package included
- Just 1 material
- 4 Prefabs with VRCFury armature link and physics applied included
- Physics Presets included
- Blend file also included
So, what's with that UV map?
There are 2 versions included in this package.
Gradient UV: The UV is laid out top to bottom so that the top part of the texture is always the beginning/root of each hair strand and the bottom part is the tip of the hair. This allows for uniform gradients with just one easy, low resolution image. The second image above shows the gradient UV layout.
Separated UV: On this version, all hair strands are laid out on the UV map separately without overlapping. The UV is ordered in a way where the left half serves the left fluff and the right half serves the right fluff. Furthermore, each strand is also placed in order, meaning the left hair strands of the left fluff are the leftmost UV islands. The first strand from the top is also the first UV island from the top. This is incredibly useful for people who would like to color each hair strand separately in a simple image editor. It is super easy to find out which UV island serves which hair strand when viewed from the back. The third image above shows this layout and the UV map on the left.
Both versions natively come with a raggae style red to green texture applied by default straight out of blender. This is done for you to easily visualize the difference and you should in fact replace the material with your own.
Installation via Unity:
- Make sure you have VRCFury installed.
- Add the Unity Package file to your project.
- Pick between the gradient and separated version.
- Drag the prefab (not the FBX) to your avatar's root for each side fluff.
- Be happy
